I was wondering what everyone thinks of the aftermarket Swiss Arms mags?

Are they reliable?
Are they durable?
Do they feel solid and well built?
Any negitives what so ever?

I purchased the polycarb. brown ones. $44 something each.

1) Because it matched the look of the factory mags,
2) I don't need to combat the harsh chemicals the others are said to resist.

I have 2 factory Swiss made 20 rounders as well, and as far as reliability... the repro's are still flawless in their function.
The only differences that I noticed was that the aftermarket ones from Canadaammo wobble a tiny bit when locked in, which is not the case with the factory offerings.
Compared to the $100 a pop I spent for the Swiss made factory mags, you should have no worries whatsoever with the ones offered at CanAm for half the price:)
Quality is quite good too!

One more thing... & not that it matters much, but the springs in the factory Swiss mags seem to be a thicker gauge than the aftermarket ones. As I said though, it doesn't matter much because we are only jamming 5 rounds in there at a time & the spring tension is the same.

I have used the Radel 5000 mags, they are a great product and I was very happy with them. Locked in solid, fed all ammo perfectly.

I have only 2 factory swiss mags, 2 of the translucent black can am ones and 7 of the yellow radel can am mags, all of them feed perfect, all of them feel the same, all have "EXTENSIVE" rounds through them and all function as reliably as the others. In fact other than color and the number's I have written on the bottom of the mags I cannot tell the difference they all work awesome, regardless of how you use or treat them.

Edit: just checked and out of 9 can am mags, none wobble even a bit in my magwell

That would be yes, yes, yes and no.
Great deal and on par with swiss mags.
No problems with function or reliability what so ever.

I've only ever had two problems with the Can-Am ones, both relating to the rivets. One was pinned at 5 rounds, rather than 5.5, it's minor but still irritating. On two of the others I'm starting to notice hairline cracks in the magazine around the rivets/pins. It's only cosmetic for now, but I compulsively keep checking them after every range session to see if they're getting worse. Those two mags are almost 3 years old now, but don't really see heavy abuse either.

I had some that were pinned to 5 instead of 5.5, I removed the rivet and took the follower out and filed some plastic away, just where the follower came into contact with the rivet, then re-riveted the mag. Problem solved, they will still only hold 5 rounds, but now they have a bit of play.

If they crack, send them back and we'll send you new ones on your next order.

Wow, now that is awesome!

I have 10 (I had 20 but sold some off), and they have been flawless. Thousands of rounds through multiple Swiss Arms rifles, and never had a magazine related failure.

I have not had any problems with mine other than the odd mag that was a bit tight to seat the final round. A bit of a pain but not unmanageable.

That said, I dont drive over mine with tanks or freeze them and then shoot them full auto or any other crazy stuff. Not sure if you would notice a difference there but for most bench shooting or light field use (I use my Swiss Arms for gophers/coyotes/varmints), no worries.
