I'm wondering if anyone can comment on if the aftermarket Green Mountain or Butler Creek barrels have feeding problems? I'm just doing up a 10/22 and am considering a Butler Creek or Green Mountain SS fluted I'm also thinking of one of the hammer forged SS ruger barrels, I understand that the Ruger will have a sporter chamber so will feed a lot better wheareas the other 2 barrels will have a tighter Bentz chamber. I'm looking for an all around 10/22 set up one that I can take to the range and do 1/2"-1" at 50 yards but still drag around the bush now and again. And use most ammo. Any advice???

I have heard nothing but good things about the GM barrel. The flutes would make it a bit lighter for the bush.

If you're not looking for a stubby barrel, the GM is the smart choice. Very cost effective. ;)

Can't fire Stingers in any of the match barrels, other then that, no feeding issues. There can be extraction issues with the match chambers and live/dud rounds, but my GM barrel has been fine.
