That would be a nice place to hunt. From what I have heard all the property on PEI is leased now so freelancing is out of the question. What were the limits on birds like their? Did they stay around much after October?

It is the best spot I have hunted for geese, that being said I have only been out west once and that was just as good, did some in ontario and of course nova scotia.
I would say it was late 70's we first hunted the island since I had family there and even back then hard to get a free field. I said 4 years since I hunted the island I was off a year it is 5. I am sure the rules have changed again.
Then we could take 5 geese per day with a max poss of 10 and 6 ducks with a max poss of 12.
A non resident hunter had to have a guide which I think could take a max of 4 hunters but could not hunt himself or a resident could take two non resident hunters. That may be different now. At one time opening day was a 25 minute event with 20 dead birds on the ground , not today they tell me. As the fall temperatures seem to be getting warmer less birds in october and many coming much later.Also seeing some stay all year round which I have never seen before.
I remember seeing a piece in the paper I think it was in 2008 that the normal count of non resident hunters has dropped from a average of 1000 a year to 600.That will hurt.
 
Is a face mask necessary for Geese? All I have is black balaclava with a skull on it (for emergency withdrawls from the local 7-11 ;) ) Are Geese sensitive to types of camo or is any decent camo ok? I have a mix of Max 4 and Drake old school.

Get a ball cap with a bill and wear your hood over it,sort of nestle into your hood and cover as much of your face as possible with your hat you should be fine.

In my opinion yes it is or some type or camo paint and the hat. You would not believe how a face will shine when the sun hits it. You have to remember how good their eyes are.

I got a briley choke for my 10 guage yesturday it took a week and a half to get here not bad comin from Texas there great to deaL with.Now to feild test on some geese if it ever gets cold here to get them movin lol....
