Has anyone tried one of the Lonewolf G17 replacement barrels in black? I have heard they are excellent for the price, ad they are UNDER $100, but am unsure if they are FULLY supported. I also read somewhere on here that the black finish flakes off. Anyone have any experience with these?
The reason I ask is because there are 2 guys at my club who do the club's reloads and I can get 50 rounds of 9mm (jacketed obviously) for $9 which is awesome. However, I am a bit unsure of shooting someone else's reloads in an unsupported chamber especially when I don't know how particular they are with their brass, powder loads etc, although... even though it doesn't seem that KBs are very common at all with 9mm.
My other option is.... my dad already owns a Dillon XL650 which I would have to buy a 9mm die kit ($80), 9mm conversion kit ($95), and a Quickchange kit ($100) for. I also don't even know if brass shot through my G17 is reloadable since the Glock chamber seems to cause the brass to expand slightly. Not to mention that many say 9mm is not worth reloading.
So.... any thoughts? Opinions?
