Aftermarket Marlin Guide Gun sites?

I am looking to do an upgrade and was wondering what are people using for aftermarket open sites on a Marlin 45/70 guide gun in S/S ?

On my guide gun yes, the XS scout rail and front sight. What did you want to know?

Skinner Sights all the way for me. The XS sights are nice as well.

Most of the mods on my GG are Wild West Gun from Anchorage. This includes the internals (trigger, ejector and magazine follower).

Only the XS mount and Limbsaver recoil pad are not WWG.

Any chance of posting a photo of your rail and XS sight set-up?



I've been looking for something along that line, that will allow my to set a longer eye relief scope further ahead on a Marlin GBL I acquired a short while ago. I need a little more distance than what there is available now, but, that's the way it came. I see one in the Brownells catalogue, a Marlin 1895 Rail Sight System that appears to be what I have in mind.

Williams FP-336 sights on my "new to me" 1895. Great sights. Was considering the XS with Rail but I didn't see the need after using the williams for a while now.

This is just coming out. It has the Williams Fire Sights on it. Stainless steel Nitron coated. Just add a Wild West ghost ring and you are good to go.
