Aftermarket rear sight for Norc NP22

I think you would have to buy a standard colt base ( burris?) and fit it.
I would think about milling the slide to drop one in lower, if you are going this way.
I have one on a Norc. 1911, but that was milled to novak and I use a vortex on it .Lover it
I do have a sig base, but I forget what size of dovetail they use

I was originally going to Mill it, but the gun Smith advised that the slide was hollow inside and the firing pin group was inserted inside and pinned. He didn't think there would be enough material to take out. I like your idea of buying a larger dovetail and filing that to fit. I did determine that the Norc dovetail is larger than the Sig one, so I'd need to epoxy it in and I don't like that as much. Thanks!

My bad, I had NP27 on my mind which is a different gun, 1911.
I don't know about milling the slide on Sigs; some one here may?
If you measure real close, I could look at that mount I have, It is a Cadex P226 red dot, you may find some specs on the web, my good calibers are buggered.
have crappy ones, they never get hurt for some reason?
I have a Sig 220 45, don't have the other one any more, but the sight should be the same be the same, but never did much with these models

I ended up installing a burris fastfire mounting plate. The dovetail on the NP22 is larger than the sig P226. I cut the sight in half using a dremel to remove it. The burris dovetail piece bolts to the mounting plate for the optic. Since it is a wedge shape, the larger dovetail doesn't matter. The tension on the screws sucks it up nice and tight. I filled the dovetail with locktite so when it dries it will help fill the remaining space a bit. If it comes loose, I'll remove everything and use JB weld instead. I think the screw tension will be enough. Just in case anyone needs to do this, that's how.
