I am thinking of buying a Tikka T3, because I like the accuracy pedigree, and the silky smooth action, but I hate the stocks on them. I understand that Robertson Composites makes stocks for them, does anyone have experience with them? Also, are there any other suppliers that make a stock for the T3? Thanks,

Patrick

My brother has a T3 with a laminated stock, it seemed really nice. They come from the factory that way, just costs extra money.

At the price of stocks nowdays, I'd just pony up & buy the Sako 85 instead. If you don't like that stock with a little searching & luck there is some new Sako 75's out there to be found too.

Well thats the thing, I can get a brand new T3 for very cheap. Thats why I am interested, I wouldn't touch one at their current prices, but I can get one for almost half that.

Well if you can get a new one for half price I would buy it in a heart beat, cause I just bought one a couple of weeks ago at almost full pull. I'm okay with the stock and really like there accuracy, havent heard anything on the Robertson stocks.

Robertson stock...

I have had my hands on a Robertson stock, nice.

They told me that the action just drops in, any body can install.
Is this true?

Also the price last year was $600.00
Is that the going price for a aftermarket stock?

Just got a PM from a good guy.

Granlind Firearms in Campbell River BC has new 75's in 260 listed on their website

Too bad it is not in the caliber I cannot stop wanting to buy.

"Robertson Composites make two models for the T3, pictured below. The TAC is $793 and the Silhouette is $563 both are drop in fit and they come with a new recoil lug in any two colours of your choice."

Hi,
Richards Microfit in California do a partial inlet for the T3 in any number of wood types plus some really stunning laminates. Their prices are good too.
I have head that MPI makes a really good, lightweight stock for the T3.
