Aftermarket trigger for 98k and bipod

Hi,

I got an old Mauser G24(t) (Israel converted to .308) and I'm looking for an aftermarket trigger without safety that is easy to install. I know there are Bold, Timney, Huber Concepts etc. but what is the best bang for my bucks?

I need a bipod as well. Any idea which model fits good to a wooden military stock without breaking the bank?

I don't know of any bipods but I was thinking of machining a bracket that fits onto the bayonet lug for a bipod. Maybe someone else has done this too. Good luck.

There is a manufacturer in the States that has a bipod for K98's that attachs to the bayonet lug. Here is a review of it and sources of purchase for it:

I think alot of guys that decide to replace the triggers are very happy with the Timney stuff.

Buy a cheap post war bayo and chop off the blade. Then attach bipod of your choice!

As for trigger's, the
Bold is a good choice. You can get one with side safety or without.

Bold's are slightly cheaper than Timney's, both work well for me.

I installed a Timney and it's a fine trigger but I had to alter the stock a bit.
The tip with the bayo is great. Thanks!

I've used Bold and Timney. 6 to 1, half a dozen the other. I use mostly Bold now because it's less spendy and the same damn thing.
