Howdy Mauser gunsmith gurus!
I need an ID on this aftermarket trigger. It's on a 98 Mauser, and is an excellent trigger, I just have never seen one exactly like it before.
Anybody know who made it?

Commercial FN Mauser with side safety removed. It's a very good trigger.

Yup I agree, the side safeties were often removed when those triggers were fitted to rifles that retained the swing safeties on the bolt shroud.

Some people prefer that VERY SAFE swing safety, blocking the firing pin from striking, rather than blocking the sear release.

They can be excellent triggers, if they haven't been honed to much to make the let off lighter than originally designed to do.

That trigger was copied by other makers and some were built under license as well. I've got a 98, built in Finland with a trigger that's identical, but it's marked "FINLAND" on the top left side
