Hey everyone,

I have an older Auto-5 that could use a refinish and was looking for some opinions on a commercial aftermarket finish. I've tried painting myself before, and I just don't have the time, space or patience to do it myself.

Because this is a waterfowl gun, I'd prefer a non-glare black or "blued" looking finish.

I've been looking at Arma-Coat and have read good things about it, but I'm open to opinions.

Thanks,

Cory

I recommend arma-coat. I had one of my 870s "dipped" locally this fall. It came back looking horrible. The guy who did it was miserable to deal with and I'm pretty sure he had never actually finished a gun before, despite what he said. Anything I've ever had arma coated or duracoated has stood up well.

Thanks. I'm heavily leaning towards Arma-Coat and that might be the final push I needed :p
