The AG42B was designed in sweden during ww2, its a great rifle, inovative for its time, very accurate. One of the best semi auto milsurp rifle to have, quite popular on the canadian market. Usually value is about $350-$450 depending on condition. Every milsurp fan should have one:)

likely around $350. They are a somewhat common item on the EE. And from what ive seen, seem to sit on there if they are priced at $400 or more. Also depends on condition

Not really a lot of them built and they were all looked after.

They have their own quirks, as does just about any rifle you can think of.

Biggest problem is that the gas system was set for milspec ammo in dirty cold weather, throws he empties a couple of miles and wrecks them into the bargain. This can be cured for a 10-cent screw in the correct position, or by very carful handloading with a FAST powder..... or both. Preferably both, IMHO.

Essentially, it is a tilting-bolt semi-auto similar to the FN-FAL, Tokarev SVT-40 type or to the SAFN. Good system, very reliable. In this case it is allied with a pistonless gas system just like the M-16.

Likely the most accurate fullbore semi-auto ever issued.

Money? I don't know. Mine isn't for sale!

My Ljungman was my first rifle. Been with me more than 25 years. I used to be able to purchase 15rds for 6 bucks (surplus) but, that's a past era.

As stated:
-Brass chucker/smasher
-Very Accurate

Worth mentioning:
-Loud but, almost no recoil
-Easy way to remove a thumb/finger

When I first joined CGN it seemed they commanded about 100 bucks more than they do currently. 350 seems to be the "upper" side now.

Has a couple of "younger siblings" including Hakim and, Rashid....all fun to shoot.

bought my first for 65$, the last one for 275 in peace river. I got it for 75 under asking since they couldn't figure out how to work it. I have 2 now one is original, the other was bubba'd "shortened to 21" bbl for 175. the original shoots better
