Hi, looking for input from those who know about these rifles.
New to me AG42b, I am looking at the bolt assembly, the tube that goes over the gas thingy, to cycle the action, it is not square on the end, one side has a scallop. Is this a failure, and if so, will it affect function or be an issue? Sorry the pic is crap.
Thanks
Tim

Mine is like that too. Mine also smells like lutfisk. Does anyone else's smell like that?

Well, I've never smelled lutefisk, so I'm not really sure. My AG42b smells like vintage machine oil or something. My parents used to take me to Bradford industrial museum and York railway museum when I was a kid, and both places had the same wonderful smell.

Lutfisk (Swedish) and lutefisk (Norwegian) is dried fish pickled in lye. History does not record whether it was invented as a food or as a weapon :)

I agree about the smell of old machines. My gun cabinets smell wonderful. Sometimes I just open them up for the aroma.

Oh yes, I'm familiar with lutefisk to the point where I know that I will never eat it. By most accounts it is quite unpleasant.
