Mine is internal in the mag body,no rivet on the outside.
When I converted mine, back when the restriction came in, I did it internally.
Thanks , I'm trying to help someone out who just inherited one that hasn't seen the light of day for 30 or 40 yrs and mag is original, I would rather rivet instead of weld , that way if laws ever change or sell to a different country they can just take rivet out .
No welding was done, just some sheet metal epoxied to the inside of the mag around the perimeter,30 mm from the bottom.Very cleanly done and nothing showing on the outside.
Also a rivet on the outside may prevent the mag from latching in the rifle.
Long enough rivets hard to find.
