ag42b or K11

Hello everyone, I'm having trouble deciding between an ag42b or a k11 as my next milsurp...I know I should get both :D but the budget allow for only one...so wich one? Talk me into one or another! Or maybe I should keep waiting for a nice m38/96 swede?
So what do you guys think?

I bought the K11.

First off because you have to reload for the AG42 (or both), or you're going to be crying over the cost of ammo. Also, for reloading, I understand the AG42 is very hard on brass (again making it costly to feed).

I just got mine from Tradeex. Well worn but with a very fine bore. Couldn't bring myself to buy a combo from SFRC given the high cost of surplus GP11 and the fact that I'm a reloader (and GP11 brass is berdan primed, which is a double whammy of wasted money)
 
Love 'em both, but you are comparing apples with oranges...

The Ljungman is a fantastic semi! Possibly the most accurate 'surp semi out there. The venerable 6.5x55 is a fine round, developed over a long period of time. Very cool with it's direct gas, and charging action.

k-11. Very cool straight pull bolt action! Swiss (whadda they know about precision?) refined a few generations of rifle to bring you this. No slouch ballisticaly, targets the world round have suffered it's abilities. Straight pull (nifty) that went through revisions in similar models.

As suggested, if you're a handloader, sparing your brass from the Ljungman's action can be tricky. Actually finding your brass can be tricky...

For base rifles, both very cool. Well earned respect from both. Boils down to what do YOU want, and why? If it's ammo availability, I can find 6.5x55 easier over a counter. If it's "cool", they both are....

EDIT:
If you don't have a nice '96 yet, I'd start there! The Swede n' Swiss bolties go toe-to-toe, and ultimately it's the trigger-puller that will make the difference!
 
I already have a very nice m96! All matching and nearly perfect condition except for the right side of the stock wich is a bit marred. So for the ammo its not a problem for me. So I'm not sure because the ag42b would complement my 96 very well but so does the k11 because both are considerate" the most accurate milsurps"

Also forgot to mention that I find both actions pretty neat in how they function, both are very different than from what you see. I'm also looking at collector value.
 
I have the AG42B and love it. I have the K31 which is the improved version of the K11. While both are fun in their own right, it's hard to compare a semi to a bolt. The AG42B is far better than people think it is and the K31 is one of the finest made rifles you will ever own an extreme delight to handle and shoot. I reload for both and yes, semis are harder on brass, but thats just part of the cost of their enjoyment. In the longrun, BUY BOTH ! :)

I have Swiss G-11, K-11 and K-31 rifles. If you are going to get a Swiss rifle for shooting, then start with a K-31 rifle first. They have a bit heavier barrel, a bit better system where the bolt locks at the front, and are generally a bit more accurate than the K-11.

As mentioned, you might consider a good Swedish m/96 Mauser rather than an AG-42 or AG-42B rifle. The m/96 is a more accurate rifle, easy to reload for, does not lose or dent your brass, and some of the FSR m/96 rifles can be had with Diopter target sights. I have One AG-42B and over Forty Swedish Mausers so that should give you an idea. Since I have done quite a bit of target shooting over the last 60 years or so, and over 30 of those Mausers are FSR target rifles, it should also tell you of how accurate these rifles can be.

I'm biased towards the Ljungman, as it was my first rifle. That doesn't make it better, just a touch more personal.

"Collector Value" is a speculative market....If I'd had the foresight to see what a 10$ .303 would be worth today, I wouldn't have turned my nose up at so many.

The ammo is not a problem for me. And like I said earlier I already have a m96 and indeed they're awesome rifles! Do you have m38 that you would be ready to part with? Just asking
 
Can't go wrong with either one actually as I have shot both. Though the AG42, it is hard on brass and ejects it into the next time zone so you may not find all your casings if youre at a busy range. Great rifle though. I perfer my K31, to the K11, but that is just my own personal bias. I have a Husqvarna M38, I do prefer the bent bolt for cycling, however it is less accurate than my 1901 CG M96.
 
Okok, so right now I have a mosin nagant 91/30, a SKS, and swedish Mauser 96. Wich one would go best with rest? Haha
