ag42b scope

i have the ag42b , actually i got 2 given to me a while back , one is complete and the other has no lumber...
so for the latter one i made a stock for it , more of a modern tactical version with bipod , so my question is this, i would like to put a scope on this one. is there any way to install one reliably without damaging the gun?

I have one scoped. I bought the extra cover piece. It required some extra work. It worked well, no problem shooting into 2"groups at 100 mtrs. I had to take the slop out of the slide which required shims soldered to the bottom front and back and an adjustment to remove the side to side movement. It still functions as it should.

Is the left side of the receiver drilled and tapped below the stock line? I'd be inclined to make a bracket to fit these holes.

for now all i can do is add the bolt on rails for now, but need a more solid way. i was thinking of like on other barrels where there is cutting scope grooves, but wouldn't that be kinda wrecking the gun...
