AGAIN!!!!!!!!! *update*

After you repair, may I suggest mounting it to something a little more solid then a piece of softwood. Even a piece of 1/4" steel sandwiched between would have prevented that. A good welder can fix that but pre and post heat would be needed. If you are going to throw it out let me know.

Hind sight is definitely 20/20 there was no issue loading.45 have loaded a sh@t ton but the first time I reload .270 SNAP!! I'm gonna get it welded and then use a .75 cutting edge under it

How old is it? By the color, Im guessing RCBS? Can you get it warrantied?

Anyone else have their press do this? Is this common if you dont mount the press good enough? I never thought a hunk of soft wood would cause such an issue (I WAS planning on mounting my press to a hunk of 2x4 or plywood when I get it...)

This is the first time I have heard of this, must be a new policy change. I was always told that the lifetime warranty was on the product not the owner, I have some RCBS products that I have purchased used and I have told them that when I call and I have never had any problems getting stuff replaced but then again I have never needed to get the actual press body replaced. Might be worth calling them again and see if they can do something for you.

RCBS has always replaced defective, broken or lost parts for me. Even when I told them I had bought said item at a gun show they have always sent me the replacement free of charge. That is one of the reasons they have so many customers for life.
 
Send a couple of pictures to rcbs and I bet they will ship one out to you. I am not sure who pays the postage

Update. Having said the above I checked the rcbs site and the warranty is extended to the original owner only. Perhaps there is latitude given depending on who you talk too at rcbs when you make the first contact
