Aguila sniper subsonic 60 grains 22 lr

Hello!

I'd be grateful if anyone here could tell me where I could get Aguila sniper subsonic 60 grains ammo and/or share expreriences with them (how accurate are they?).

I made a rifle specifically for the Aguila Subsonic 60's... 1:9 twist, 22" barrel based on a CZ 453 action... guess what? They shot like crap... strangely, Mini-Mag 40 grain solids shot incredibly accurately out to 100 yards... so much so, that the rifle sold at the range, to a dentist who couldn't hit a pie plate with his own rifle... three consecutive sub 1" groups and he had his wallet out and was hounding me at my bench.

P.S - guys crying about $60/brick have never shot good ammo.
 
I've found Aguila super max and standard velocity at my local canadian tire. Haven't shot the high velocity but the standard is my choice ammo out of my NS522. Would love to get my hands on those 60g's.
 
Most Canadian Tire stores seem to have both blue and red box Aguila's in stock these days (not 60 grain). I have found them in quantity from London to Ottawa. They are dirtier to shoot and louder than federal. Accuracy seemed OK but I was only on a 25 m range and just had a few boxes. It sold for $7-9 a box. You should be able to check on line for CTC store stock in your area. Most stores that sell Agulia also have Federal auto match in 325 round boxes for about $30 if that is of interest.

Most 22 come in 50 round boxes, so you are looking at less than 20c a shot, not 50. He DID add info to the thread... This post from you on the other hand, which references a post that has nothing to do with the difference between box and brick, that is a truely useless post. Thanks dawg.

I don't find 50 cents per round silly especially if you want to be competitive in benchrest shooting. I'm sure there are quite a few shooters who like myself spend a few thousand dollars a year on .22 ammo. Here are some prices for true match ammo taken from sponsor websites, these are for one box of 50 rounds, tax in but no delivery.

Lapua Center X - 27 cents/rd
Lapua Xact - 56 cents/rd
Eley Match - 38 cents/rd
Eley Tenex - 56 cents/rd
RWS R50 - 42 cents/rd
RWS R100 - 45 cents/rd
la, if you want to play the game you pay the prices. I'm sure most on here are sick and tired of listening to you whine about ammo prices or the weight of .22 barrels.
