they are pretty accurate, a guy at the range a couple weeks ago let me try 5 colibri's and 5 SSS 60grn. outa my22lr ......the colibri's are super quiet but dropped too much for 50 yrds...but the SSS i saw lobbing in flight downrange and put 4 shots touching at 50m's aiming about 3 inches high.....i want more SSS's :p

Oh man, I love the idea of that 60GR ammo being subsonic but still a lot of energy/relative velocity out of a 22LR (900fps), but unfortunately it seems like very few people are getting good results out of it because it recommends a 1:9 twist rate.

I decided to look at all the 22LRs I have, and it wouldn't work in any of them:

Henry Youth Lever, 1:16
Savage Rascal, 1:16
Remington 597, 1:16
Ruger Single Ten, 1:14
Browning 1911-22, Can't find it anywhere, but for obvious reasons I'd prefer not to use a handgun to kill something in my backyard.

Does anyone know of a 22LR rifle that has a 1:8-1:10 twist?

if you are going to carry sss I'm going to need ether a new barrel for 10/22 or a new 22 for trapping
I have wanted to run ss trapping for long time

I have had some success with Aquila SSS in just two rifles and one handgun.
-Toz-8
-Toz-17
-Ruger Mk II (ran the action wonderfully)

And the original iron sights will register much lower of course. Very dirty ammo BTW.

just info

PS: Kind of half success with a Winchester 490 & with a very clean barrel/action.
Others on the internet report the Model 190 also does equally well with this SSS.
