Does anyone have any experience with Aguila Super Extra standard velocity 40grain .22LR ammo?

One of the site sponsors has a pretty good deal on this stuff right now and I'm wondering if it's worth picking up a case.

Does it group half decent or is it minute of shotgun?

I do not expect Eley Tenex accuracy. Just wondering if anyone has actually used this stuff and what is to be expected.

Thanks,

I've used both the standard and high velocity Aguila rounds in my semi-auto and both group better than anything else I've tried. Which to say I have no reason not to use Aguila. As with all rifles, YMMV. On a side note, Aguila 22 ammo does has a 'funny' smell.
:)

That Aguila SV ammo makes for cheap practice when shooting a target pistol intended for SV ammo. It will not function the action of a pistol not intended for SV ammo of course.

I have shot some in rifles when just messing around and not really being serious. It was ok for cheap fun with decent groups.

If you like to experiment, then I suggest you also pick up some Aguila subsonic to try from a bolt action rifle. It gives really nice accuracy in single shot pistols.

IIRC I bought a few bricks of it near the tail end of 2013. It was all I could find after a solid year of the American's panic buying and stockpiling everything they could get their hands on due to a very determined gun control push by the Obama administration. Anyway, it shot very well in the 10/22 I had at the time. Between quarter and half inch groups at 25 yards from a semi-supported position. I think I still have 4 or 5 boxes kicking around somewhere. I'll have to dig one or two of them out and try them in my T1x to see if they really are as good as I remember them to be.

Eley Standard Velocity groups out of my Mkii amazingly well.

The High Velocity doesnt group as well in my bolt gun and the 60gr SSS is even worse but fun to shoot. But that has more likely to do with my 22 rifle.
