I picked up a brick of this stuff the other day as part of a bulk purchase. Does anyone have any experience with this ammo? It looks to be a couple of decades old at least.

IIRC, that stuff was sold by one of the local gas stations for 79 cents a box, when everyone else's stuff was closer to a buck.
We went back to spending more on a box of ammo, when we figured out what the misfire rate was, it wasn't a bargain.
Can't recall if that stuff smelled like warm dog turds or if that was the Russian stuff.
Been a fair few years since Aquila has been imported. May be worth a few bucks (literally a few) to the cartridge collectors, and the box alone, empty, will be worth about that much to someone that collects them.

Bought some at a show a couple of years ago...very distinctive stink associated with shooting it. Local smith informed me it was the cheapest available at Can-tire a few decades ago.
Shot well (stink aside) no more/less filthy than bulk stuff. No ftf/fte in a Cooey 64 (that means something) or rem 597. No more accurate than fed-champions or CCI blazer though.
I don't know if I kept the box or not. I Purchased some Fiocchi and S&B from the same vendor (2 boxes of each, 6 boxes total)...each had a distinctive stink. The Fiocchi did prove to be accurate enough to look for more.

It is Copper washed, if my memory serves me correctly.
Never had any issues with it, but cannot remember anything that impressed me either.
The smell.....rimfire ammo manufacturers from Europe and Asia often use powders with a distinctive odor.
I remember when Ammomart [Xelex explosives, now Higginson's powder] sold Gevelot 22 ammo. It had a distinct odor, but was quality ammo.
They also sold some inexpensive ammo in red square boxes of 100.
It was manufactured somewhere in western Europe, and was quite greasy.
The name escapes me at present, but it accounted for hundreds of gophers and Columbia ground squirrels.
Never remember having a "dud" from this ammo.
This stuff really smelled terrible when you shot it!
But IIRC, it was about 79 cents per hundred, so a smoking deal for us youths who were financially embarrassed at the time. lol.
