The era of less is called minimalist/minimalism. Its already a thing that is getting more popular. My gun room has more stuff than any other room in my home. Honestly if most people saw my place they would offer me sandwich because they would think I was poor. I own very little by choice, except guns and ammo, can't get enough of those

Reading through these comments is amusing. Im not shocked, but maybe a little surprised how paranoid some of you are. Not only that but the delusions of grandeur are pretty entertaining. Some of you must watch too many action movies, cause it seems like you fancy seeing yourselves in some kind of glorious firefight fantasy where you are the last action hero who comes out on top because you had your trusty AR or T81.. Curious, do you all have a quick means of unpinning your mags? or do you keep them unpinned now because we're getting close to armageddon now that Trump is out? Or do you plan to keep them pinned to 5rds?
Reality is more likely that a highly trained soilder would take out most of you before you even knew they were there, then theyd take your stuff. I know, ive played a ton of paintball lol. Enough to know that having the good marker doesnt mean s**t. Having good cardio and stealth skills, and situational awareness is far more important than the type of gun you have. Just sayin.. How many of you with ARs and T81's can run a 10k without gasping for air?

The discussion is about guns and the challenge is also a great deal about guns.... comparing them to one another, understanding the benifits each one possibly provides over the other. Gear does matter. The kind of gun does matter. If it didnt then wed all still be wearing hunting frocks and firing Brown Bess muskets.

Best training, totally agree. One of my sons is so good at it. He can take out 5 of us without a sweat and I need 1 week bedrest, lol.

It does in combat, sure. But even then look how Vietnam played out. Gear isnt everything. And i think comparing the pros and cons of equipment is cool but based on the comments so far, this thread has derailed beyond that. Seriously do you guys see yourselves squaring off to defend your home against hoardes of heavily armed combatants in your lifetime? At what point does it go beyond protecting yourself and family and cross over into the "if I ever need to go to war against the sheeple" mindset?
Because it seems like some of you are almost looking forward to some sort of apocalyptic RWOL situation where everyone is out roaming the streets killing each other, just so you can proove once and for all that the AR15 was the better gun lol.. Like, I guess he shouldnt have tried to defend his toilet paper castle with an sks.. suckerrr....

I just hope if society ever does start to come apart, that people arent so quick to start shooting at folks who get too close to their stash.

If the society falls apart, it will make the Walking Dead look like a 80's sitcom.
Gangs of armed thugs will be roaming the streets with bad intentions and all kinds of communities will form in attempt to neutralize the threats.

This day WILL come sooner or later...maybe in our lifetimes, maybe in our kids lifetimes but it is coming.

Judging by the events south of the border, in which the Soros installed puppet(s) are trying lay the groundwork for a big scale purge of about 50% of their own citizens, it might be sooner...
Civil war in the US is pretty much inevitable at some point...and when it does start, how long do you think it will take before it spills north of the border?

Back on topic...I wish I could participate and prove something one way or another, but we are currently under a BS lockdown...this means no place to go shooting...:(

Only 2 weekends left to shoot this folks ! I hope to attempt it with this modified sks before it closes. Would love to see more Canadian submissions using Type 81sa's.
