I've got a buddy looking for an AI rifle in 300 Win. Mag.
If you've got any info on what they're like or what they're worth, anything.
I'd like to hear from you here.

Mike.

If I recall correctly, Wolverine has some in stock - I think they're worth between five and six large; see for yourself. These are the "Arctic Warfare" models; the AE models sell for less, but I'm not sure if they're available in 300 Win.Mag.

wolverine had 2 AEs 2 338LM, they are all sold. tell you buddy to place an order and wait 6 months. cuz my friend is trying to get a AI 308 for over a month, no luck, seems no body wants to sell these great rifles.

Has nothing to do with not wanting to sell them. It has to do with keeping them in stock and filling the mass of civilian, police and military orders for more than just wee little Canada.

Yep, wait time right now is 5-6 months.

If you want one, you might as well order it cause they come up used about as often as Hailies Comet comes by earth:D

Damn, you're right! Someone sure cleaned up shop over there... I remember them having some AWs and AEs just a few weeks back.

I guess it's the flavour of the month!

I meant, used ones, I don't see them in EE very often.

Lots of guys have AWs at my range. They're built like a tank. The barrel can also be changed in a few minutes with a vice and a few tools. One guy I know switches his between 308 and 260 routinely, depending on what kind of competition he is shooting. He mentioned that at one competition he went to down south, where the dust was really fine, the AI rifles were the only guns that didn't malfunction. They aren't any more accurate than a custom 700 though, from what I've seen.
