Does anyone if any 20 round AIA magazines were ever brought into Canada? Been using the 10 round magazines in my M-305 with no problem and having a couple of legal, 20 round magazines would be nice. A banned dealer was going to bring some in but I nothing further has been heard. Any info would be appreciated folks. All the best.

Forgive me for my ignorance... But how would a 10 or 20 * unless it's blocked off to 5 rounds* round magazine in Canada not be a prohibited device...? I'm pretty sure that's jail time if your caught?
 
AIA mags are a bolt action rifle mag that just happen to work in some M14 rifles. Thus no capacity limit.
 
I don't think they ever came in - I gave my info to a guy on here (Killercane I think who is now banned) who was supposed to be bringing them in but never heard a thing.

btw - can we please, please get away from the stupid 'pinned to 5 round' argument; these were for a bolt gun and may/may not have fitted in M14 much like the AIA mags do.

Didn't mean to cause a stink. Sorry. BTW, the AIA magazines work just fine in my M-305 in every respect. Can't speak for other rifles.
 
The banned Ki11ercane was not the importer. He was taking orders for these magazines. The importer was a many times banned gentleman in Saskatchewan. Were any of these magazines ever actually imported? A photo of one was posted in another thread here. A semi-literate monkey had stamped the magazine "FIT'S AIA BOLTACTION RIFFLE 7.62X51MM".

Wow, complete and total fail.
 
Would not 20 round mag give too much spring pressure on the bolt? The first rounds would be unpleasent to charge
 
Apart from the uberkewlness, a 20 round magazine on a bolt action .308 riffle is about as useful as teats on a boar hog.
The whole exercise was to try to get a 20 round M-14 magazine on the market, and maybe even approved.
The next project was to be high capacity SKS detachable magazines, legitimized by the creation of one SKS riffle altered to bolt action.
These don't seem to be available yet.

I doubt the SKS mag will happen..As the pistol or Bolt action rifle needs to be commonly available... a one off won't cut it..

as for the 20 rounder since it was coming from a pair of scammers it's likely not gonna happen either..
 
Last I heard the 20 rnds were dead and he was switching to 10 rnds for the people on the waiting list. I was on the list for 2 and have heard nothing from him for a while. I called a few months ago and the kid who answered had no clue what was going on.

so the 20 rounders are dead and he is working on 10 rounders? so the mags we pre ordered are not availble now and he is going to scam the people on the preorder list by substituting something else altogether and not notify the people on the preorder list? what a piece of work more gun supply is.
 
If money changed hands, better sort things out. If your name is on a list, find out what is happening, if anything, and decide if you want to stay on the list.

So glad I listened to my gut feeling on moregunsupply and played it safe by waiting.

Normally I try to pounce on stuff like this before it sells out but this one had big red flags on it IMO.
