AIA 20 Rounders

I met with the President of AIA yesterday, who is visiting Canada from Australia on business at the moment. I asked him about the 20 rounders and he said they made a few prototypes. Not saying someone else might have tried to source/market aftermarket versions from oversaes, but definitely none from AIA at this time.

I would be just as happy if the factory 10 rounders were readily available up here ;)

Post 184; there are some more pictures at posts 204 and 205.

The rear locking tab on the back of the mag is tapered / angled differently. Working in the Norc but not in the AIA. If this dealer is making or having made a 10 rd mag
that is based on the M14 mag, then it's likely that it will not fit the AIA Rifles. I would love to know if these mags (10 rd'ers) have

1) The square notch cut out for the op rod guide
2) Is the locking tab is tapered / angled???

If it has the square hole, it's for the M14 and not the AIA riffles (sorry could not resist) and if the locking tab is squared it will not fit an AIA Rifle. Two items that will determine
whether they will fly or not.

================

I re posted my picts of the two mag types M14 & AIA.

I noticed the two are very "similar" on the back tabs. My AIA will not take the M14 mag, but Norinco will take the AIA mag...

See weld difference

Norinco mag has a flat bottom edge.

You can see the AIA mag has a chamfered edge.
