Are these rifles considered Milsurp or modern rifles? I have one and would like to get an idea of what it is worth. It has been in the safe for years and I wonder if it is best to sell it or shoot it.

The 7.62X39's are pretty limited in numbers compared to the other AIA models in Canada.

The more common guns are probably around $1500 ish these days.

I believe it was P&D who sold them, if you reach out to them they could probably tell you how many they had.... might have been around 30 or so pretty sure it was less then 50?

It is an interesting variation of the enfield. Which model do you have? The one with cut back wood or the full wood model. Can't remember what the aia designation for them was.

In terms of shooting versus not. If you are not shooting it and don't really care about enfields then it might be best to sell it and buy something you like. As CanDown mentioned they are the more rare of the aia as it came right before they shutdown and ceased production.

Geoff, how badly do you need the cash?

You don't tell us what condition your rifle is in, so how do you expect to get a value?

In excellent, unfired condition, I've seen those rifles sell for $2000.

Used, even if only a mag of ammo, knock $500 off the price and it goes down from there.

1 to 2k depending on condition and accessories.

You need to list condition by comparing to nra standards or you have to post photos
