Traded for this beauty, had it at the range for sight in, accuracy and function testing.

I tested 3 types of ammo; czech milsurp, herters 154gr SP, and some S&B 123gr SB.

The S&B(brass case) stuff shot the best, it was the most accurate and fed/extracted the best. 1.5moa through 20 rounds, my 25 yard zero was dead on at 200, was hitting the 200 yard 8'' round gong with ease...

The herters(steel case) 154gr stuff averaged 2.5 moa, was hitting about a foot low at 200 yards, about 20% failed extration, the extractor spring is pretty soft, a stiffer spring might fix this

The czech milsurp average around 3moa, shot about a foot high at 200, had about 50% extraction failures, hoping stiffer springs fix this

I'm curious about the last photo with the ammo. Care to share a description on each of these. Are these reloads? I'm particularly curious about the top one.

beginnings of reloads,
110gr
150gr
200gr cast, gas checked

i also have some fochii(sp?) fmj's inbound, and some brass, gonna try to squeeze some accuracy out of the x39, stand by

Properly assembled, and using good quality components, there's no reason why 7.62x39 shouldn't be a very accurate calibre - the case is the parent for some of the PPC cartridges, which are no slouch in the accuracy department. Here in North America, we don't see a lot of the uses the cartridge is put to in Europe.

The 110 grain, are they Berry's bullets? How do they perform, or are they just "fun" type bullets?

I ask, because I picked up some Berry's 110 gr. myself. It'll help me decide how to load them up.

they are hornady .30 carbine bullets, gonna try some .308 diameter bullets, the AIA barrel slugged at .3095,

I own one. It was actually seen and purchased from a fellow on cgn. Worth every penny. I use Hornady sst I picked up from la baron. I haven't sighted it in again since I took my old bushnell off it. Just haven't replaced it yet.
