AIA Enfield mags - Here in 2014 **ACCEPTING PRE-ORDERS**

OK, just to be clear, these magazines function exactly the same as the original OEM AIA Enfield magazines. The only difference is that they are made of thicker steel, have a much nicer finish (phosphate) and are designed and produced 100% in North America. Frankly, the OEM AIA mags significantly pale in quality compared to these mags.

Again, when I get the chance, I'll get some media up onto CGN and our website so everyone can get a look at the mags.

If everything goes well during testing, we will be opening up the pre-order within the next couple weeks. To date we have not had any trouble with DFAIT or the US DOS with respect to these magazines.

Sounds fantastic! Are these 10/10, 10/20 or 20/20 mags? I kinda lost the spec in the extremely long thread

Um, one other point, AIA called these M10 rifles, not enfields. They were specific that these were 100% new rifles of modern design. When you submit for approval, I would think that you should ensure the word 'enfield' does not appear in your documents anywhere.

From their old website: "While these all new AIA rifles bear a striking resemblance to the battle-proven Lee Enfield .303 rifles which served the Commonwealth for over half a century, the M10 bolt action rifles are an entirely new concept " (from http://members.storm.ca/~aiarms/index.shtm , a website that scraped the old AIA site)

I am in for 4! But I would prefer that a limit would be set at 4 or even 2 per customer so that more people have a shot at them and that no a$$0/e , like one said, buy's 100 of them to resale.

It seems they are some specific detail that won't be adress regarding those mags, most here red in between the line and got the memo. I had questions but I got my answer with the unwillingness to respond. To the other pressing for answers just pm other members , as I suspect there is reasons for witch so question are not being answered. One of those being that those mags are designed for the AIA rifle, NOT other rifle, and there capacity should reflect the laws applicable to THAT rifle.

Nr mag feel free to edit or delete this
and thank you

Maybe limit the pre-order so everyone gets a shot, not some joker ordering 100 then selling them on the EE for double the price...
You'd have to order FAR more than 100 to put a dint in the size of our planned production run. There is no plan to limit the pre-order.

I have been speaking with the RCMP firearms lab and they have confirmed that their interpretation of the law indicates that there is no magazine capacity for Lee Enfield rifle magazines that are designed and manufactured of a different shape and for a different calibre than the .303 British magazines. See everyone, the FRT lab isn't all bad news!

Thats awsome! Now if the lab could hurry the hell up with the rpd classification so I can get my rpd!

Well went to add my name for a pre order. Not surprisingly NR magazine is not accepting PM. I should imagine the response has been overwhelming. Hopefully they are writing down user names to PM us for orders.

The photo's on pg #1 are not very useful. apparently someone in the past took M305 mags and laser marked them for the AIA. I should not expect that would be good enough. I would personally like to see a bunch of comparisons of AIA vs M305 vs Northern republic.

Just a cynical person i suppose. If you are keeping some type of database for orders add me for three.

A while back we said we were working on getting some AIA Enfield mags chambered in .308 Win. It looks like everything is now a green light.

We've finalized the design process with a major North American company and received approval from the Federal Government to Import the mags. These AIA mags will be all steel, parkerized and have a 20 round capacity. The introductory price is $74.99/mag. Please bear in mind that we chose to use a manufacturer with excellent reputation and a higher quality finishing material, so the price is a bit higher.

Now we just need to get a grasp on numbers...

What do you think CGN? How many do you want?
Pre-orders will open after we finalize the sample QA/QC testing.

Also, before people start "rocking the boat", these magazines are designed for the AIA Enfield rifle chambered in .308. They will function exactly the same as the original AIA Enfield magazines.

**Edit to note that I'm not going to give a firm date on when these magazines will arrive. It will be in 2014. Probably early summer at the absolute earliest. I'll post more details about the pre-order after the QA/QC is finished.

am I missing something here? How is the front of this mag retain in the receiver?

That is exactly the way the original AIA Mags look at the front. I will be getting at least 4 - 10 round mags. It looks like a friction fit on the front of the magazine and the lugs at the rear hold it in position. seems to work fine

So any chance these will come with a note from the RCMP guaranteeing their legality, I've been given funny looks by the town police for other mags and would love something to show them to make my day easier.

The FRT numbers may help you sleep easier, police can look them up:

Australian International Arms, No 4 MARK 4 ... 124934 (7.62mm) w/ detachable box magazine
Australian International Arms, No 4 MARK 4 SL ... 124931 (7.62mm) w/ detachable box magazine
Australian International Arms, No 4 MARK 4T ... 124935 (7.62mm) w/ detachable box magazine

Yep. Holding a genuine AIA mag in my hand right now, and compared to the pictures it is uncanny how exacting the reproduction is, except maybe the colour (of mine, anyway).

I would be in for 4 at a minimum.
