AIA Enfield mags - Here in 2014 **ACCEPTING PRE-ORDERS**

Yep. There are some wankers here who want to debate Lee Enfield capacity. Expect cops, Fudds, and Range Nazis to be denser.

Exactly. My concern is eliminating awkward conversations where someone mistakes what these are for based on the fact that I don't have an AIA rifle.

Me either, But from what I understand reading through all this ,It doesn't matter .... Somebody mentioned keeping the receipts.... sounds good to me. And like others have said (and just like everything else, be it gun laws, traffic laws etc) the cops dont care, dont know... They lay the charge , and deal with it in court

I have an AIA rifle. I might be willing to lend it out here in Ontario, but of course, you would have to have your own mags for it. I don't lend out mags. Just my own personal policy there.

Wow, just wow, :D looks like I will be eating crow afterall.
Is there a link to a pre order page?
I'd like 4- 20 rounders for my AIA :D

They aren't here yet Thomas.

Ya, I know.
But while I loathe pre orders as a way of doing business (no offense meant :D )... For this, I can set that sentiment aside LOL
I'll throw a pre order in just to do my small part to make it happen.

Thx for the link

Hmmmm. I have 2 AIA mags already and I always shoot on crown.I also use em in my various m14 type rifles. I have been stopped and checked, rifles, ammo, mags and entire vehicle. I don't "ever" worry about a police officer or CO's misunderstanding or better put, lack of education regarding the legalities of what's in my jeep.
The looks on faces when I bust them on the trigger lock myth is the best. The 1 conversation on magazines went about the same way. BUT I have the correct info, from the firearms act, in my shooting bag, always.
I live a bit in the sticks, and have limited access to information/internet.... But finding, copying and keep the necessary info handy, allows me to not concern myself with silly things like being paranoid about having a legal firearm or magazine. Why should anyone else?
The info on CFC's site is easy to take a screen shot of on your smart phone too....

It's good to carry the relevant information for sure.
The other day at our range there were some police officers doing there qualifications on pistol, shotgun and a .308 bolt action rifle.

I'm not sure they would have been stoked to see me set up besides them with a CanAm socom and some AIA mags! They were pretty friendly and the guy in charge was super nice, but there was one officer with more of a "tactical" stance and attitude and I think me pulling out some 10 round AIA mags or soon to be possible 20 rounders and then blasting the steel beside him would not have "made his day".

I hear ya but I don't care, if I am doing something I KNOW is legal.... I could care less what a cop thinks. I'd simply see the opportunity to educate.
I don't do 10 km under the speed limit when a police car is behind me in non emergency mode either. It's pretty much the same thing.
If it's legal, it's legal .... It's pretty cut and dry.

Anyhow... Sorry bout the interuption.... Pre order on :D

I sort of figured you wouldn't care Thomas and I agree that if it's legal it's legal.

Ya :D I'm a rebel and apparently someone called me a rockstar the other day LOL the nerve.
I just think as firearms owners we need to not be so paranoid about "what a police officer might think". It's their job to enforce and uphold laws as they are written .... Using a AIA mag in an m14 type rifle is not against any laws/bylaws/firearms act.... At the present time , Period.

I'm embarrassed to ask, but what is this myth that I'm probably guilty of accepting???

You can transport unloaded non-restricteds without trigger locks.
I think the "myth" is that they must always be trigger locked while you're driving in your car. They do not.
Leaving them in the car becomes "storage" though", so I always use trigger locks, cases, and hide them under a blanket when I step out anyway...

The myth is "You need to trigger lock all guns while transporting them" But it is only true for restricted firearms.

True, but I would say you actually don't need one at all for non-restricted firearms...... Heck a gun case is probably unneccissary, unless local by laws or nosey anti-neibours are a bit of a concern......
