AIA Improved Enfield No.4?

Does anyone have any experience with these guns? I've heard mixed things, but mostly I've heard parts are sort of hard to come by. Are these good rugged guns? If something breaks can I use real Enfield parts.
I wonder what kind of groups they get?

I've been thinking of getting one. From what everyone says, they are excellent rifles and quite accurate. As for parts, they could be hard to come by, but Marstar looks after what they sell so you should be able to source parts. As for Original No.4 parts swapping over, I have no doubt they will no fit, it may go by the No,4 name, buts is a completely different rifle other then the action style.

My opinion is, go for it. The only compliant I hear with them is they are really heavy, but if your going to do just bench rest or prone shooting, your good to go as a heavy rifle is desired for a target rifle. Also, they are pre drilled and tapped for a scope mount, which Marstar sells so scoping these is a easy as paying a few extra bucks for the mount.

I have one. Before ordering I asked Marstar if they had parts stocked, they said yes. I got the Marstar deal that came with the scope mount and an NCstar "tactical" looking scope. The scope was pretty crappy, but for free I'm not complaining

It's a really well made rifle, nice wood, everything's parkerized. I have about 150 rounds down the pipe now and it's finally breaking in nicely. For the first 50 rounds or so I was getting regular feeding problems. The action is much smoother now and I may get a failure 1/30 rounds. I expect this to drop to about zero as time goes on. Nothing on the rifle has broken yet so I can't really comment on parts availability beyond Marstar's assurance that they are available.

My rifle with mount and scope is just over 12lbs lol, scoped this is not a rifle to be lugging through the bush.

All in all a beautiful rifle that would be a great addition to anyone's collection...also the 10 round mags work in the M-14 platform

Thank you for your kind words.... If I may correct you, the scope base comes with the rifle....
In addition if you buy these days we throw in a scope with mounts, pleasee see our site....

John, I assume you're from Marstar? (I'm slow sorry).

If so, have you been getting many reports from users personally? How's the overall vibe/buzz on the gun? People liking it?

Onewheel, glad to hear you like it! I'm definitely torn between 3 guns right now...
Improved Enfield, SU16 if it comes, Sub2000. Not sure..

I have only pumped about 100 rounds or so through my AIA enfield, and I love it. It is quite accurate, and I haven't had a problem with it yet. Just using it as a deer rifle. I don't like NcStar scopes so I topped mine with an Accupoint. Everything fits tight, the barrel is actually free floated, but with that heavy barrel the rifle is quite heavy. I haven't weighed it so I can't tell you how much.

I measured the outer dia. of the barrel, for the most part its 0.800"dia. until the taper to the front sight.

Well, its a new rifle, but other than calibre, I don't see any advantage over a No4Mk2
