AIA lee enfields

Since the AK is prohib, would it be legal to use a full cap AK mag in the 7.62x39 carbine? Or does this get into that ugly "needs interpretation" grey area?

Mate in QLD, I don't think its an issue, but ignorance of the law from the police prospective is a different story (left to local interpetation - that can be scarey). If I had a 30rd mag, I'd use it on a property, not on a range, so as to not draw the crabs to ones self.

I often see over capacity mags at the guns hows up here, but again this is QLD, Australia's Alberta.

NSW and VIC are two different kettles of fish, and I can't speak for the NT or the remaining states either.

Cheers,

Wes

Mmmm no.

Where did you get this idea???

Mmm, if you can give me the contact information for any individual, not ffl, who's gotten an approved export permit from the US State Department for a personal sale, I'll be happy to learn differently.

Unlike Canada, the UK, or most other european countries, the US seem fixated on licenced exporters, with some grudging exceptions for FFL's on a periodic basis.

Sorry, 1feral1 - wrong Vic - this ones in Canada, so every policeman is an instant expert on the firearms act. Pin on a badge and there you go, knowledge abounds about firearms of every sort - even one's they've never seen.Quite amazing really.

Applied for an import permit for a family owned Ruger .22 handgun. Got it in two weeks. Sent documents to family member in the US. He sent his documents with copies of the import documents to US State Department. No relies three years later.

Good luck!

Take Care
