I just got some of these 10 rd AIA magazines from the kind folks at Wolverine Supplies and I'm super impressed. I always avoided them because I could not afford 10 x $1.00 per shot all being shot downrange at once, so I just stuck with my 5/20's and life was good.

Added on Friday 09 Oct 2015: Yeah, I'm just confirming that my magazines are the Elander AIA magazines. I love these babies... especially after watching porkchopsandwich do a 10 round mag dump at the Wolverine Supplies M14 Clinic in September. :)

Now I just took one out of the packaging and inserted them into my M25 LRB, and the follower / magazine/ bolt stop combination/relationship sure is working well. My M25 has an SEI upgraded tac bolt stop, and its loving these magazines!

What else are you AIA fanboys thinking about these?

Cheers,
Barney

I have two AIA mags that came with my AIA Enfield, they work great in my M14.

I also have 2 A1A mags made by E-Lander that Wolverine brought in, and they work great to!

Lot of fun in the M14 platform!

Cheers
Jay

I bought a couple Barney, they're well made and I like them. The only thing is that the bolt hold open isn't fully engaged so I manually pull the action back and push the hold lever to engage it prior to dropping the mag

I have 4 ten rounders. I use them in my SA M1A and my AIA SMLE repro. And no bolt hold back issues with my M1A. Holds back everytime. In fact they AIA works better than the factory SA 5/10.

Picked up a couple and had feed issues until I shaved the stock down. Last round hold open usually works but not always. Got them for $70 each but they've jumped to $75 already.

I have 4 of the Elander ones and none of them will hold the bolt open when the mag is empty on either of my rifles. The GS designs mag extensions are a disappointment for me as well .Mine are falling apart where they connect to the mag. I had to wrap duct tape around the mags to secure the mag extensions better as they couldn't take the inserting into the mag/well .

What kind of gun is yours? Mine is a Sprinfield Arms and has no hold open issues with the Elander 10 rounders.

Norinco and a Domion Arms Socom 18 . I added a pic of where the GS designs mag extension on two of mine are coming apart .

I have couple of elanders. Work great in my m305 with Vltor M1A furniture. I like the fact that they are half the size of the 5/20's

Agreed, they are top notch high quality mags. The 5x pack I bought all work perfectly with the bolt catches, whereas most of my 5/20's had very sharp "points" on the follower/hold open that needed filing down.

While I prefer the traditional flat grey look of the 5/20's, the finish on the Elander mags is more resistant to the elements and surface rust.
I find that once your 5/20's get worn down to the bare metal on the sides, they are susceptible to surface rust under certain conditions...and we all know how stressful surface rust can be!

Yep Wolverine 5 pack FTW. Functions perfectly in my m305. If you're invested in the platform, you have to get these mags.

I've printed and carry in my range bag Special Bulletin #72 as well as a print of the Elander page from S&J hardware and a global news article "Loopholes allow 10 round mags in semi-auto rifles". Many have a hard time believing this is legal. I saw Steve at the Orangeville gun show and discussed these mags with him and even he was sceptical. I imagine sooner or later I'll be having to explain the law to the law. I recommend anyone that uses these mags carry around the same paperwork I do.

FWIW I went through the Ontario Hunting regs - they have a paragraph on rifle mag limits:

"Under the Criminal Code of Canada you cannot possess any clip/magazine that holds more than five shots for a semi-automatic centrefire non-restricted firearm unless that clip/magazine has been specifically exempted, pursuant to the Firearms Regulations."

Which as I interpret we are good to go with elanders while hunting. A little OTT for deer but personally if I was tracking a wounded bear I'd like to have every advantage in my corner.
