AIA magazines in a M-14/M-305

Will it work?

Nope.

This is what one looks like, very similar to an M14 type mag (2nd pic) without the square hole at the front.

With everyone that interested is using this legal mag in a semi why haven't we been able to put enough pressure to have the OIC's that regulated mag sizes revoked?

I mean it's not even something that has to go to the house and senate. Just the governor general with recommendations from the PM and cabinet minister.

To me it seems like there would be less fight than has been for the LGR.

I have two AIA 10 rounders for sale on EE. they come with a mint #4 MK1V rifle in mint shape. They work perfect in both my M14 's

well if that is true, looks like I may have been ripped off... I will test it in my rifle before I make any drastic conclusions but I think you guys are right now that I look at the mag... Oh well..

They are said to take standard M14 mags like everyone one stated above.
Depending which province you live in and there laws the bolt action rifles can take unlimited round mags 5 10 20 30 drum if you look it up on the RCMP web site you will see or read it in black and white.

Do they work? Is it legal? Pretty neat if you could have legal ten rounders.:ar15:

I have no idea what you're trying to say.

You can't remove the pin in an M-14 mag to use in a bolt action rifle. If that's what your trying to say.

The old thread i believe was made by moregunssupply ..

Not only were the magazines a joke (the 20 rounders), but when you have a thread full of people , i believe the thread ended with 1200 something posts , saying their going to buy the magazines for their m14's , the RCMP isnt stupid , they eventually received one for inspection and squashed the guys nuts who built them and claimed intent to be used in a semi automatic firearm ..

The thread is from last june-july i believe and is quite a read if you fancy yourself ..

Do they seat properly without fiddling with?

Yes. But not the other way around. M14 mags don't fit the AIA because the locking lug on the mag is about a millimeter too long. You have to drumel the bottom of the lug. I did that with my 5 round M14 mags since they are useless on M14s, but fit nicely into the AIA once you do the change. They fall right out when the mag release is pressed.

There won't be any more 10 rounders from AIA, it looks like they got screwed over in the US and went out of business. Really too bad, they are very nice rifles and shoot well. They are now collectors items, glad I got one of the No4s.

I have both rifles my AiA mag will not work in my Chinese M-14. M-14 mag has a hole in the front "squer one" AiA mag does not and drops down during chambering a round

I have both, and have not experienced the 10 rounder not working in the M14. It chambers fine, and fires fine in mine.

Hmmm, what would be a fair price for me to pay if I find one? $150?

The chance of getting one is zip. The AIA's only came with 2, so someone would have to give up one for their rifle, or... Buy someone's AIA, they do come up for sale once in a while. They are a really nice rifle.

To JRW,

It keeps going down in mine, the front does not hold firm enough to cycle. It may work in diffrent M-14 but I have only one to try it in

To JRW,

Contary to yours 5 round M-14 mag not working in AIA mine 5rounder works realy well in my AIA. I realy think their were diffrences in both series of rifles
