Have had lots of correspondence with the owners of AIA and they have them, someone in Canada just has to order them.

I was in my local gun shop and a dude was picking up his aia from the service rack he grabbed his rife and went strath out so I did not get a chance to talk to him , I said to the worker I was dealing with " was that a .308 AIA " he said yes then I told him about the interchangeable 10 round mags ! ... Must be a sighn

Ordering these magazines is easier said than done. AIA is hard to get ahold of and have toned down and pulled back from their original international business plan. This is probably due to the crazy gun laws Austriallians have been subjected to.

Only way is to go to Marstar, buy a complete AIA rifle, keep the mag and try to sell the rifle...

Marstar has been sold out for a while now. I wouldn't pay much for an AIA with no mag and no one else should either. AFAIK, M14 mags do not work in AIA rifles. So that would be one expensive magazine you'd be buying huh? Either that or the next owner of the rifle would unknowingly get bent over hard. Classy.

AIA is selling inside of Australia for more then what they were selling in the Canada so they stopped exporting because of the demand back home. A company sent a magazine to a company in New York but hurrician Sandy came along and destroyed the manufacture that was going to make another magazine. So it's gone now...

Actually, they do. You have to Drummel about a millimeter off the bottom of the lug, and they will click into the AIA. It's the only use I have now for my 5 round M14 mgs. They insert and come out easy from the AIA.

If true, the buyer would get stuck with a 5 round mag, which is better than a 1 shot rifle I suppose. Do they feed properly?

Still, I'd personally reduce the value of the AIA mag if buying an AIA rifle without one... or better yet not buy it at all.

^ I'm only saying anything at all because since they have been available I've seen two rifles for sale without any mag. I'd hate to see anyone get burned. Obviously, if the M14 mags can be made to work in AIA rifles then it's not as bad as I thought. ;) And no, I didn't know you were joking and I forgive your lack of emoticons. :p

"...a company in New York..." AIA has no American distributor and they were denied entry to the U.S. market for buying parts from Viet Nam as I recall. Our southern cousins are very particular about who can sell to them.
"...M14 mags..." Have to be pinned or they're evil.

I only ask because I don't know: can I just pick up A1A mags while in Australia and bring them back with me, or have a friend send them to me? Are magazine purchases restricted in Australia?
