I'm just wondering, from those of you who have had an AIA rifle for a while. Are there any longer term maintenance, reliability or durability issues? I'm wondering what spare parts you may want to stock up on or what problems you may have down the road.
Thanks

Knock on wood, I have nothing to say but positives about mine. To Mr H4831 see Marstar website it is New made improved Le Enfield

I think there is one for sale in the EE. Yes there is !

This quote was taken from the Marstar site.

"The M10-B3 Barrel is truly unique, it was made from the original plans and specification of the M134 mini-gun barrel. The thickness of the chrome is approximately four times that of industry standards Even thicker at the muzzle. The manufacturing process for the barrel is very difficult and costly, as a result they are no longer being made. A very limited number were obtained and fitted to these very special rifles. The projected barrel life is between 50,000 and 100,000 rounds."

Do you suppose that there is any chance that the barrels actually are reworked mini-gun barrels?

There is not much to wear out on these rifles and there are no spare parts around. Everyone with a M14/305 wants a magizine or two because the mags from the AIA fit and are un pinned. I talked to some people in Australia from some other forums that I am on and tried to get some but no dice. Oh well.

If my barrel was reworked out of a shot out one I can't tell, they do say manufactured, not re-manufactured in the quote.

I can't tell you what fails on these rifles. I found a post googling for info that was supposedly from the designer/one of the founders of AIA. He said that a prototype B3 minigun barrel rifle was being tested for failure in a destructive pest eradication role. It was at an 8000 round count with no failures; apparent instructions to the users were to use it hard.

Sorry, my bad. I don't think it is unused surplus, I think it is more recently manufactured. Where have you heard the left behind story?
It certainly looks like it could go on a minigun.
