So any updates on the AIA 308 enfields?
Stevo had some concerns about liability and the posibility that they were made in vietnam, just wondering if anyone has had an issue with one so far.

Aside from that are they worth the money?
Has anyone been able to get one shooting tight groups?
In particular does the Match version shoot any better than the full wood or the sport version?
Please share your comments and post pics of your rifle and your targets :D

Only the teak stocks were made there. Very nice stocks, with a coating. So treat them wth care.

Has anyone been able to get one shooting tight groups? YES

In particular does the Match version shoot any better than the full wood or the sport version?YES

Because AIA no longer exists it makes the rifle a rare item, hence a collectors. From what I see only a few No4s are available at Marstar last I looked, the rest are all sold out.
 
My sport model groups 1.2 inch at 100m with $30.00 a box ammo,

I'm really happy with this rifle.

There is few negative reviews on line however 98% of them originate in US where this rifles are not available.
If you are planning to get one, do it you won't be disappointed
 
Mine shoots great. 1-1/2 inches or so. Occasionally better. Only complaint I had was that I was never very fond of the grey finish on the metal. So I sent mine to Casey at Tac-ord and he refinished it in teflon. The cheek piece on mine is actually beech, but I matched the teak fairly well.

Beauty did you buy it new i know when you buy it new they throw in a acc.kit [ex. mag,scope mount,sling,cloth case,and i think a cheek piece] with it also a scope/& rings package with it 2 choices of scopes to choose from.

No I bought mine on the EE a few years ago. The original teak cheek rests are impossible to find now-a-days. I bought a beech reproduction and stained it to match then applied tru-oil.
 
I got my Teak rest for my NO4 MK1 from a guy in AUZ. he makes them from new teak timber if anyone wants one i can try and track him down i got mine awhile back?

I have an M10 B2 Match AIA and it will put any decent ammo into less than an inch, as long as I do my part.

I also have one chambered in 7.62x39, very few of those in Canada. If you find one, buy it.

The 7.62x39 really likes the Chinese non corrosive stuff available from Canada Ammo. It doesn't like the surplus Czheck stuff as much but it's still more than acceptable. I don't have a scope on it and even with my aging eyes, it still holds the Czheck surplus around 2inches.

All of this is off a bench and bags of course. I'm not as steady as I once was.

The only thing you may not like about it but IMHO, is a good thing, is the weight.

The AIA rifles are at least 1kg heavier than their Lee Enfield counterparts.

Notice the bidpod on the sling attachment. I took a stud for a bipod and drumelled it to fit inside the bracket replacing the sling ring. Hence the sling futher back. Which, BTW, is a WWII enfield sling I picked up on fleabay.

I had one problem with the rifle. I put that nice HiLux scope on it and was at my son's farm to zero it at 100 yards. I had it in a cradel. Yet when I fired it wasnt even hitting the 4 foot paper target. So I fired it looking for a splash somehere. 3 feet to the left of the target. Way off. I took the scope off, and put a length of copper water pipe on the rail. The pipe was off to the right relative to the barrel by several degrees!

The hole they put for the back of the rail was off by about 2 millimeters. So I took it to a gun smith, and he redrilled and tapped it to be center. Now the rifle shoots wonderful. One minor screw up, but fixed.
