only metal i know of that fits in bottles is mercury

BC Tactical is the one on mine. V-Bull makes one also, i believe ATR does too.

I can fit 12 rounds.

When I got my AICS I got a .308 mag by mistake, but my .223 mag showed up a week later, so all was cool.

Anyways, I 'adjusted' the .308 mag. Now I can fit 20 .223 rounds @ 2.640 into a mag.

Just because you can fit 12 doesn't mean you should use 12. The magazine might be over-sized to reduce spring strain and feeding issues.
