Did I read somewhere in here that AICS makes a chassis for .223 now? I've been all over the AICS site but didn't find anything? If so, would it be Remington 223's for this stock? Please help.

I've read somewhere on here about AICS mags for 223 and yes the short action stock should fit ... my question was is this for Remington in 223 or what models? Magazine availability?

Rem 700 .223 will drop right into an AICS short action chassis -
their .223 mags are the exact same mag shape as the .308 variety, just
made from plastic instead of steel. the mags are also setup for something like 2.55" OAL
so touching the lands shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks for that ... so a Remington 223 heavy barrel will fit and where would we get these Magazines?

The 223 AICS mags (10 rounds) exist. Fairly recent items (?6 months or so?). Here is a Midway link with picture:
w ww.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=162445

Manners has stocks with built in bottom metal for AICS magazines ("Mini Chassis).
-1 remington short action (.223)
-1 MCS-T3--$455.00 USD + shipping (+ duty, taxes etc)
-1 MCS-DBM System--$360.00 USD + shipping etc
-Stir gently, add 10 round .223 mags (not from Midway of course) and serve

Here is mine my friend,

Just beside the JP Enterprise AICS clone mag
The way is seem to work is that the mag is THICKER so the round is properly centered with the action

I have tried it in AICS and JP chassis and it is FINE

Not yet my friend, as i have just finished my .308 3 week's ago...
BUT my last projet is working just fine with the AICS mag in .223 AND a .223 barreled remmy on top... i have just swapped the complete upper to try it.
Mil dot is right, Casey at Tac ordnance work is top notch, he have installed my pipe and chamber on the action and only have good comment for him..

BTW MILDOT, your rifle is beautyfull, almost same config as i whant my .223 project :D

Here is the work but like i said, the .223 upper is working good too

Nice stuff gents. Who makes a heavy barrel in 223 with a 1:7 or 1:8 twist that you can put on a Remington receiver? Lower twist I can shoot heavier bullets yes??? Cheers,
