AICS for .223?

Really nice rifles guys and great pics of the various AI bottom metals/mags. Will answer a whole lot of questions from shooters.

Otokiak, I can offer you Shilen and McGowen barrels as blanks. Gunsmith will cut to any length you want.

I can also offer you prefits for a Rem 700 which uses a nut for headspacing. These will come completely machined ready to headspace on your action.

Same concept as on a Savage.

JErry, whats the difference between the two barrels you mention? Cost? Also, cost of prefits in 1:7 twist 22 inch long? If I go with a 1:7 twist I can shoot heavier bullets correct? Qujannamiik(thank you very much),

Jay, the 7 twist will let you shoot the berger 90 grainers... i'm gonna have to come and check out this build when you really get started

p.s. I am going to do a build like this for sure ... but it's gonna take alot of time to acquire all the parts I think ... as she's gonna be expensive ... :D

Its excellent, and the .223 mags are very well made as well.

wolverine had both (I imagine they still can get them)

canuckchap, any pics? I contacted Wolverine and got prices ... now to come up with the funds for the stock and 2 mags ... then a remington bolt/receiver ... and not sure on barrel yet ... probably go with a jewell trigger ... man I really want to do this build. :D

Its Clayton, Jay I've got a few suggestions.... i remember hearing of a remington 223 for sale within the last week... buy the gun (i think shirley said "225 or 250 dolla" lol), get a barrel from mystic precision and the jewell trigger, i'll build a 223 for the f class shoot outs i plan for next summer... to go with the 6br i have on hold
