I am trying to decied between these two stocks, I am planning on buying a 700 Police this weekend and would like to upgrade the stock to either the aics or the 700 RSA. Which one of these stocks are the most comfortable? Do you need to bed the 700 RSA? I have heard that the AICS is great for prone shooting, and not the best for shooting off the bench. Also how much do the 700 RSA's cost? Thanks for your help!

Never tried, seen a JAE 700 RSA however trained with an AI AW (not a clone). I have a McMillan A-5 and find it the most comfortable stock I have ever used, including over the AI, so I agree with Steve.

Hard to say for sure on the JAE as we like all dealers are still awaiting the final prototypes to be finished. The 1 I handled at the SHOT show seemed impressive, as the JAE100 did for the M1As.
Personally I have yet to find a stock that will accomodate more different types of shooting or positions than the McMillan A5s do.

My advise as always is to get behind a rifle with both stocks as see what fits YOUR bill best. AI stocks are very good but either you love them or find them uncomfortable and clubby, there does not seem to be much middle ground on them in that respect. Both the AI and the JAE when all kitted out will be in the same price range according to JAE, and the A5 fully dressed is also in the same range so from a price point there is not alot of difference.
