Ok before this turns into a potential #### show. I am not condoning the infringement of copyrights of Accuracy International stocks AT ALL. I am merely curious as to who has done this and how they did it.

I was speaking to another member of the site who owns a AICS stock 1.5 i believe with a savage arms model 10 or 12 in it. He mentioned that he found a smith who was able to modify the stock or the rifle or both to fit into eachother?

Now i know its possible as i have seen pcitures. But does anyone have any light to shed on how this is done? feel free to Pm me if your worried about the potential flaming you could get from others here.

****** UPDATE, I HAVE A SOLUTION! :) ********

A "few years ago", AI actually built a chassis designed for Savage actions. There were some shipped to the USA, but as far as I know, there were very few if any shipped to Canada. Wolverine Supplies tried to get some, but I don't remember if they were successful or not in the end. Take a look on their Sponsor Forum Page to see if they were able to get them in.

There was a company, I do not believe who that was doing the modification you are speaking of. I want one myself, the chassis was first announced in shot 2012 and was sold through euro optic in the US, it was the old AICS version and not the new AX chassis. It was never brought up here to Canada there is a very long thread in the Wolverine supplies forum.

The smith you are talking about was found out by Accuracy International and was sent a cease order and told never to modify any ever again. And that is pretty much where it has ended.

Accuracy international are nice products, however they seem to be #######s in what they will actually release. I'm sorry but you design a product show it to the public and after the huge outcry for it, you stop making it...? They only focus mainly on Remington pattern actions, and thank god the day of the 700 will soon be coming to an end the way they are driving their own name in to the mud.

Accuracy international seems to not care about savage owners which in all honesty is a shame because again I would really like one, but they only make them for Remingtons, and since I will never own a remington ever again, it looks more like I will never own an Accuracy international product. If you are looking for something like an AICS I would suggest MDT's new HS3 chassis. Or go the route I decided and save up and get the new KRG Alpha 180 for Savages. It's kind of a shame the a smaller company I pressume like KRG, can design and release something to the general public in the space of a couple of months, and such a giant like Accuracy International has taken over 3 years now to produce the same product.

But then again, it is the week of shot, so I would say ask this question again on Friday and see what information is released.

I am sure it has something to do with the clients AI caters to. A lot of LEO/MIL departments presumably with R700 based rifles. Like was suggested, just get a KRG or XLR industries if you want to dress your savage up.

I'd suggest the hs3 or cadex. I've got the new Ax Aics and at $1700 with taxes I would certainly avoid breaking out the tools to modify it

.

AI is hardly a giant. They are a small company with 70 employees who built 1400 rifles last year. Their main efforts have been concentrated on manufacturing the new AIAT and AXMC rifles. Anything AICS related has landed on the back burner because of this new product line..

No that's not what I mean. I know what pictures you are talking about.

I'm talking about a actual modified rem 700 stock that would accept savage

I was also waiting anxiously for the AICS for Savage to arrive in Canada one day. But at Shot Show I made a point of going to AI's booth and asking them face to face about it. Pretty much ended the possibility right then and there. The Rep stated that only a few went to the US last year and nothing really in the works to produce any further for Savage.

Can't complain too much though..my JP Ent AMCS has been a real well built and great shooting chassis. Now I am getting used to the Cadex I use and am really liking it a lot!!

Also took a loot at the KRG Alpha 180 at Shot Show and thought it was pretty nice too.

So after extensive contact with a company who said they could do it and now haven't got back to me for a long time. I'm back to square one. There has to be someone or someplace that can help me out here. I know it can be done and I'm not really "condoning"it. But I really want to see how this can be done.

Thanks guys
