AICS stock modified for savage actions?

Listening to it, he is talking in the past tense. At 00:31:25 he says "We have made some limited runs ... " of the Savage, and then at 00:31:32 he says that they "... did a very small run ..." of the Tikka T3 version. Both of those statements indicate that what they are referencing was in the past.

At 00:32:10, however, he says "... You could look for for us to bring out the updated version of those chassis later this year." (He didn't indicate if it would be for the Canadian market or not.)

Listened to it, I personally think you are reading too far into it. But maybe if you listen to his statement backwards, it will reveal a top secret ultimate AI chassis being developed for the Savage......

I wasn't reading anything into it. Willybunch asked a question about what the speaker is saying after the 31st minute, and I did my best to provide a transcript. I don't have a Savage rifle, so I couldn't care less one way or the other if AI makes a chassis for Savage.

I am sorry, I meant to quote willybunch, just happened to be reading your post at the time. Apologies.

Could you please elaborate?

Stability issue?

The AI spigot mount was designed to track and shoot moving targets from the prone with the Parker Hale style bipod attached. This setup tilts sideways and pans left to right. It is only stable when the bipod is loaded hard. It is not easy to target shoot with this setup, especially from a bench.

By far the most popular setup for AI rifles is the Altlas Bipod with BT19 mount. It can be locked so that it does not move around. Another great option is the Big Dog Steel AI pic rail, rock solid units but they sell in the US only.

That pretty much covers it. Although I would prefer an LRA or Mpod.

Thanks for the info j996. I'm planning to go with an Atlas setup for tac style shooting.

Cool!

I ended up with a Roedale RCSII for my Tikka T3. My action, barrel and rail are cerakoted pretty much the same color as yours!

Magpul FDE?

Thanks guys! Yeah it's nowhere near done yet. Got some hydrodipped to do and a lot more cerakote but she's getting there.

Savage for the win ;)
