Hi guys,
I have a request here.... I have a Rem 722 in an AICS 1.0 stock. I bought a VersaPod off of the EE here, and I assumed there would be a spigot, or pin that would click into the front of the stock in the receptacle thats built into the fore end. I assumed this, as the guy I bought the Versa Pod off of, had n AICS stock'd rifle.
Well it turns out the VersaPod only came with the stock attachment that attaches to a sling swivel stud. It has a pin that comes out of it that allows quick release, but it stays attached to the underside of the stock. I don't like this set up..... I looked online for the AICS VersaPod spigot and found one somewhere, but the price was rediculous!
Can someone out there with a lathe whip one up for me? I can't imagine it would be too difficult, or take very much time! If a guy was to make one, it would prolly pay to make a bunch of them! Im sure one could ask 25.00 or so and still be making a tidy little profit, but more importantly helping out other cash strapped GunNutz members! ;-) LOL.....
Dang, I really need to get this bipod mounted properly before spring, and the long range shooting season begins again!
Ginnz.
