Aimpoint diode reflection

So since i sent my eothing back i got me a PRO, long story short i bought it on the ee then sold it then bought it back from the guy i sold it to.

I was looking outside the window through the sight the other day, it was very sunny, and i see 3 red bars reflecting on the front lens when the sight is at a certain angle. I do some research and apparently it is the diode i see reflecting. I contacted aimpoint to see if its normal and they say : yes very common, dont focus on the dot blah blah blah.

The thing is, even with the sight turned off, as soon as there is light coming from the lower left side in front of me the 3 bars appear at varying intensity even from a lamp in the living room. Now that i saw it once i kind of notice it a lot more and i never noticed it before with the exact same sight in the same lighting conditions.

Anyone else see this in their sight or is it just me?
 
Not sure if I had the same problem with my Aimpoint ML3, since sold for a Elcan, but I would see a number of starbursts around the actual dot making it very difficult to line the dot up with the target. I spoke to Aimpoint and they tried to tell me that I had astigmatism. Went straight to an optician and had all the tests - no astigmatism present with my eyes. Like I said, since sold and loving the Elcan.

Yup, I get the starburst, but no astigmatism. I always wonder about that.
 
Not the same thing, i used to have astigmatism and the dot was a mess but since i had lasik the dot is fine, what i see here are 3 very clear bars wich i was told by aimpoint is the diode reflecting in very specific conditions. I will try to get a picture if i can

I still have 2 eotechs. Debating on sending one more back. I want a T2 with the 6x magnifier when it comes out . But in the mean time I need something for the spring CQB. I'd try the sparc ar if it's out in time.

My last comment was not directed at you... I just find it funny that people think there is such thing as a perfect optic...

So this is a well know "issue" with the aimpoints then? I was wondering because my google search didnt yield a lot of results and most of them were with the micros with the shorter bodies than the 30mm aimpoints. I just found it weird that i never noticed it before with another aimpoint.
