Aimpoint for M14

Hey,

I am having my m14 barrel shortened and have the rooster33 scout mount installed. I want to get a Aimpoint clone from jackyiscxd. It looks like he has two models there to choose from. Which one do you guys recommend? I am new the aimpoint game and have no idea the difference between the two;)

Any input is appreciated.
 
mine clone is junk.......


shuts its self on and off...and it was on my M14 shortie on a R33 mount....

I also could not get it to Zero with the two mounts that came with it....


I wish he had a replacement program

yep.....it worked ok for the AR....but lasted around 200rds on the M305( could not get it to zero)(it shot high)

Getting a bargin is nice, but where optics are concerned, you only get what you pay for.

The Real deal Aimpoints are not cheap, but the are Mil-Spec and will take a beating.

I bought a cheap scope once, NEVER again.;)

I bought it for my 10/22 and it was great.....Everyone that got them here on CGN said they work on bigger guns....not mine....lol


I will stay with my Eotech 552

Where is the best place in country to get aimpoints and what price are they generally running at?

Jamie what mount were you using to put the clone on your R33 mount? Jack pm'd me and said that his mounts do not work with the scout mount...

Aimpoin(Comp ML & ML/2) are running around $500.00 to $600.00 last time I looked.

Look at around $150.00 to $200.00 for a top quality QD mount.

Try the following retailers:

-TSE
-Wolverine

SKBY.
 
I got mine from Wolverine for about $550. You will need to get a good mount for it also, I went through two cheap ones that would not stay tight (even with loctight) mounted on the R33 mount.
