Aimpoint mounting problem...

Just got an ARMS (#17) mount from a fellow CGN'er, and I discovered that the ring won't fit around my CompM3. There's a space of several millimeters on each side.
Are there spacers that I need to use for this particular optic, or is the mount just not suited to this particular model? I kind of thought that all Aimpoints of this ilk had the same size tube, but I'm new to the game, so I could be very wrong.
If anyone can offer some guidance, I would greatly appreciate it!

What size is the ring? I have an ML2 and I purchased a few different mounts from the places listed above and they all fit fine.

I would just buy a new mount with the correct size ring or just buy a ring spacer. From what Ive seen of the spacers is that they fill those few mm gaps just right.
