I not familiar with Aimpoint Optics.
I got one recently and I think that there is a problem with it. When I look at a target that is in an area with less light than where I am a red hazy glare appears that occupies about 40% of the sight picture (on every power setting). If you draw a line from 11 o'clock to 5 o'clock and then move that line down just slightly so that it doesn't go through the dot that is the starting point of the red glare. From that line to the edge of the optic on the left has the red haze on any power setting. Just as an experiment I closed the front flip up cover and it was there plain as day on every power setting.
Needless to say it is very distracting...
