Aimpoint question? CompC3 vs CompM2?

how is the dot size on the aimpoints measured? is it measured on the lowest setting or on the brightest?

Im looking to order a 2moa aimpoint but other than the compm4s nobody seems to have any in stock and i think the m4 would be too big and heavy for my 10.5' upper. thoughts?

Go for a H1 Micro if weight is a concern.

I prefer the M4 and M3 over the mini because of the ease of turning the intensity dial. It is also more forgiving in cheek wield due to the large tube diameter.

But the mini is quite a bit lighter.....

The newer Micros both H1 and T1 have intensity dials that are easier to turn. I'd prefer hard to turn than the early Comp M2s that free wheeled through the intensity spectrum (newer production are much stiffer).

Hahaha completely sums up my thoughts.

I find the M2/3/4 to be a bit faster then the Micro but the Micro is like its not even there...

I gotta agree with Red though, the stiffer the better. I don't see any time when rapid adjustment is better then confidence. If one is going to find themselves in a situation where they are taking the time to adjust the brightness then you would generally have the time to properly adjust the brightness. If not then you probably shouldn't be screwing with it in the first place.

That's why I'm warming up to it. Can't think of an easier way to save 231grams - slightly more than half a pound.

I like the ruggedness of the M4, the AA battery, and ARD... but half a pound counts.

Rugged- Micro is plenty rugged. You should see our demo models that have all the painted chipped off from behind dropped on loaded weapons or thrown onto pavement.

AA battery - only needs changing every five years...so the battery type is really not a concern. The battery used in the Micro is available at every drug/grocery store

ARD - some have made their own, I find them of no use.
