Aimpoint ring question.

Does anyone have one of the low Aimpoint rings? I've got a Comp M2 that I need to mount as low as possible and was looking for suggestions.

This is too tall, I'd like it right tight to the rail. I don't mind losing the flip-up cover.

The Aimpoint 30 mm rings sit very low, this model in particular:

That price seems outrageous for that low ring. I used that ring on my Ultimak mount on AKs and you could still see the irons. I only paid either $19 or $29 though and that was regular price about 5 years ago.
