We have had people looking to replace their lost elevation & windage caps, thinking that the sight is no longer waterproof without them. This is in fact, a false assumption.
Aimpoint sights are all water tested with the elevation & windage caps removed.

ACROs work according to spec which is 1.5 years on brightness level 6 out of 10. Battery life will be much less if you crank the brightness but this is no different to any other red dot sights.
Name brand CR1225 batteries are a dollar each for a pack of 10 with free shipping. Just carry a spare with you to the range. Simple as that.
