Aimpoint T1 Question (maybe a dumb one at that )

So I was playing around with an Aimpoint T1 at my LGS.

Seemed to me that if I held the optic still and moved my head around the Point of Aim changed. Could this be true? I thought that parallax free would mean this doesn't happen?

They are parallax free.

The dot may look like it moves around, but it'll still hit exactly on target.

A good couple tests are:

Cover the front of the T1 and keep both eyes open, and shoot your target. Your other eye will pick up the target and allow you to hit it.

Now move your eye away from the T1 to the left or right, or up and down, till you can just see the target. Now shoot the target again. All holes will still be right on.
 
So I went back and played some more and now I'm trying to decide between the Pro and Comp M4. There is about $280 price difference but the Comp M4 has a killflash. According to the aimpoint website both are NV compatible, the Pro just has less adjustment.

Thoughts anybody?
 
Had both - kept the T1's. M4 is very large and heavy - T1's are tiny and lightweight. Yes the M4 has a 'larger field of view', but I still prefer the T1.

Killflash - useless (for me anyway)...
NV - useless (for me again!).

To be honest - if you don't NEED NV capable, just buy an H1! :)

Same here. The only benefit (besides the NV) on the T1 is that the casing is apparently more durable and slightly more waterproof.
 
I have a T1 and a PRO. They both *do* the same thing. I'm happy with both.

Kill flash serves no purpose on a range gun. and for hunting.... Meh.

Between the PRO and the CompM4.... I'd take a PRO.

Between the PRO and a T1 I like the ergos on the T1 if only for the big dial makes brightness adjustments easy peasy.

I have set various reflex sights side-by-side and observed changes when moving my eye across the sight picture offered by the dots.

All had some parallax. Aimpoints had the least. "Parallax free" isn't quite right, but close enough for anything you will need them to do.
